The Children’s Bureau released Program Instruction ACYF-CB-PI-20-04 to provide guidance to States, Territories and Indian Tribes on the actions required to apply for a one-time Family First Prevention Services Act Transition Grant. Congress appropriated $500 million for these grants as part of the Family First Transition Act included as part of Public Law 116-94 signed into law on December 20, 2019. These funds are available to all states and territories and to all tribes participating in the title IV-B, subpart 1 program (Stephanie Tubbs Jones Child Welfare Services Program).

Applications for funding must be submitted Children’s Bureau Regional Offices by Thursday, April 30.
