While the Family First Act helps reduce the risk of LGBTQIA2S+ youth in foster care from being placed in congregate care unnecessarily, LGBTQIA2S+ youth will still find themselves in congregate care. Therefore, it is important for those in congregate care settings to create an inclusive and supportive environment for queer youth in care.
