This resource was developed by the ABA Center on Children and the Law, Casey Family Programs, Children’s Defense Fund, and Generations United to support Implementing Provisions that Support Kinship Families: The Family First Prevention Services Act makes historic reforms to the child welfare system to better support children, families, and kinship caregivers, and promote a family and kin-first culture. Many of the reforms have significant implications for connecting children to kinship caregivers. The webinar provides an overview of a new practical tool that lays out the necessary steps for effective implementation of the kinship provisions of the Family First Act, including kinship navigator programs.
